MacBook Air
On the thin, light Air models, battery swelling, liquid damage and screen damage are the most common. Air models with Apple Silicon have no fan, so fan-related problems do not occur.
MacBook Pro
On Pro models, battery, screen and faults after liquid damage stand out. Some Intel models from 2016-2019 are known for butterfly keyboard and display backlight cable problems.

The processor a device uses determines the repair method and whether it can be upgraded. We identify this from your model number and tell you before any work.

Upgrades and what to bring
On Apple Silicon (M1 and later) MacBooks, the memory and storage sit on the motherboard together with the processor; RAM or SSD upgrades are not possible on these devices. On some Intel models the SSD can be replaced, while the memory is often soldered. That is why choosing the right capacity when you buy is important.
What to bring: Note the model number starting with A on the underside of the device (for example A2337) and the serial number; with these we can identify the model and parts precisely. If Activation Lock is on, you will need your Apple Account details to use the device after the work.

About MacBook service
Can RAM or an SSD be added to a MacBook?
On Apple Silicon (M1 and later) models, memory and storage are integrated into the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. On some Intel models the SSD can be replaced, while the memory is often soldered. With your model number, we can make this distinction in advance.
I spilled liquid on my MacBook. What should I do?
Switch it off straight away and remove the charger and accessories. Do not try to turn it on or plug it in. Putting it in rice or using a hair dryer does not work and can cause damage. Bring the device to us as soon as possible; damage increases as the liquid corrodes the circuit.
My MacBook battery has swollen. What should I do?
Do not charge or use a device with a swollen battery. Swelling can lift the trackpad or distort the case, and it is a safety risk. We replace the battery safely.
What should I do if I have AppleCare or an Apple warranty?
For devices covered by warranty or AppleCare, we recommend going to an Apple authorised service first. Antalya Notebook is an independent service shop and is not an authorised service; work done outside an authorised service may affect the warranty terms.
