VivoBook
On this series for students and office use, hinge area, screen cable and battery faults are common. On slow models, an SSD upgrade is the most effective improvement.
ZenBook
The thin, light build means opening and closing the device takes care. On models with OLED screens, screen damage can raise the repair cost, so we tell you before doing any work.
TUF Gaming
Heat during heavy gaming, dusty fans and dried-out thermal paste are the most common problems on this series. After cleaning and a paste refresh, performance usually recovers.
ROG Strix and Zephyrus
Some ROG models use liquid metal thermal compound on the processor. Servicing these models needs special care, because liquid metal can cause a short circuit if it touches circuit components.

Upgrades and what to bring
On VivoBook and ZenBook, the SSD can usually be replaced. RAM depends on the model: some are fully soldered, while others have soldered memory plus one free slot. Most TUF Gaming and ROG models have two RAM slots and more than one SSD slot.
What to bring: If you note the model number on the label under the device (for example X515 or FX506), we can check parts and upgrade options in advance.

About Asus service
My Asus TUF or ROG overheats and shuts down while gaming. What should I do?
First check that the fan vents are not clogged with dust and that the device is on a hard, flat surface. If the problem continues, fan cleaning and a thermal paste refresh are needed. Sudden shutdowns happen when thermal protection kicks in.
Can I add RAM to a VivoBook or ZenBook?
It depends on the model. On some, the RAM is fully soldered to the motherboard and cannot be added to; others have an extra slot. With your model number, we can tell you the upgrade options in advance.
My Asus battery drains quickly. Does it need replacing?
First the battery health needs checking. The battery health charging setting in the MyASUS app can extend battery life by limiting the charge. If the capacity has dropped sharply, the battery needs replacing.
My Asus screen has lines or flickers. Is the panel faulty?
It is not always the panel. The screen cable or the connection around the hinge can cause the same symptoms. If the picture is normal when you connect the device to an external monitor, the problem is on the screen side; we make this distinction during diagnosis.
Is Antalya Notebook an authorised Asus service?
No. Antalya Notebook is an independent service shop and is not an authorised brand service. For devices still under warranty, work done outside an authorised service may affect the warranty terms. We recommend checking your warranty status before any work.
